Looking for digital nomading advice?

You're in the right place.

My Travel Diary was born out of wanting to remember the rollercoaster of my travels while also having an easy way to answer “what did you do in xyz?!” – shoutout to a former colleague wanting to know more about Colombia, thus inspiring me to immediately write three pages of recommendations, evolving into this format.

And this format is something special, if I do say so myself. I wanted it to be informal – hence “diary” and easy for y’all to access & read. As you may have seen on the cover page, this document is living. Meaning it will continue to grow and will automatically update for you as I add in my travels. As I write this, I’m stealing wifi from a youth hostel in Switzerland and updating that section with the cute cafe I had breakfast turned lunch in. I’m also trying to finish up Croatia since it’s been over a month and the people deserve to know where to get their boats to spend all day on the water. So you may notice that sections are incomplete or I’m actively typing while you’re reading, and personally, I think that’s the fun of it (but please reach out if one of those incomplete sections is the one you’re looking for!).

I've been lucky enough to visit 40 countries and 40 states in my short 30-something years and have been a digital nomad since 2017. As a young child, I used to tell my mom I wanted to live in Europe. Then when I was ten and found a travel magazine highlighting Mauritius, it became number one on my destination list. In college, I couldn't stop dreaming about living in Australia. Traveling has always been a part of my soul's purpose and being able to share that love with all of you, is truly something special.

I've done the quick weekend trips and the multiple-month stays but as I grow older, I've learned my favorite way to travel is by immersing myself in the culture, meeting the locals, and going off the beaten path, all while working to support my adventures. I think this is something that sets me apart – the majority of my digital nomad life has been spent working US hours no matter where I am and I didn’t own my business, until now (now meaning April 2024). My homebase in Denver provides a sense of stability when I need to retreat while still giving me the freedom to travel. Holla if you’re looking for an Airbnb in the city, I have the perfect option 😉

Other things that fuel my soul: A good book – preferably on Kindle so as not to take up precious packing space. Let’s be friends on Goodreads! Any kind of movement – yoga, CrossFit, cycling, hiking, skiing, climbing. You name it, I’m down for it. A full & new moon ceremony with Lauren O’Connell – crystals and an energy clearing spray are absolutely worth the packing space. A Spotify playlist to set the vibe. Putting my phone on DND. Coconut water and any mocktail with rosemary. Oversharing it all on my Instagram.

Now that you’re here, I hope you enjoy everything this document shares. May it inspire your best adventures and some damn good stories ❤️

Happy traveling! Connie
